Brandcode Center sits inside the Gärdehov sports complex. It has carried different names over the decades, but the club has stayed put there through all of them.
The organisation goes back to 31 October 1896, when it started as Tunadals Skid och Skridskoförening, a ski and skate club. Hockey did not enter the picture until 1952. A reorganisation in 1976 turned it into Sundsvall/Tunadals IF, and in 1985 the club took the name it carries now, IF Sundsvall Hockey.
Relegation has been the more frequent story, with the club dropping out of HockeyAllsvenskan in both 2012 and 2016.
The fiercest fixture on the calendar is against Timrå IK, a rivalry so charged that between 1990 and 1992 the two sides gave up fighting it and merged into IF Sundsvall/Timrå Hockey before going their separate ways again. Since 1974 the club has also hosted the SCA Cupen, the oldest pre-season tournament in Swedish hockey.
