Timrå

Timrå sits on the Bothnian coast in Västernorrland. What began in 1928 as the boxing club Wifstavarvs IK, named for the Wifsta shipyard, added an ice hockey section in 1937 and merged with Östrands IF the following year. Fagerviks GF joined in 1963, and the club took the name Timrå IK only in 1966.

The pine trees on the club's badge gave it the nickname Tallarna, though for two decades the team played as the Red Eagles.

Timrå has never won the Swedish Championship; the closest it came was an SM-silver in 1974, lost to Brynäs IF. The club has instead made its name climbing back to the top flight, most recently in 2021, when it beat IF Björklöven 4-1 in the HockeyAllsvenskan playoffs to secure promotion. Its fiercest match is against Modo Hockey of Örnsköldsvik, played out as the Västernorrlandsderbyt.

Henrik Zetterberg came through the club before winning the Stanley Cup with Detroit, and his number 20 hangs retired at SCA Arena alongside those of Mats Näslund and Elias Pettersson. The ground itself holds 5,727 spectators.
