The Hala Sportowa im. Edmunda Walczaka, on ulica Mieszka Starego, took its present name only in April 2025. Walczak died in 1979, having spent the 1970s building the women's handball section that now trains and plays there. The hall itself opened on 1 September 2000 and stands among the larger sports venues in Lower Silesia.

The club around that section, MKS Victoria Świebodzice, goes back further still, formed in 1957 out of a merger of factory teams in the town. The senior side, known as the Lwice and playing in white and blue, competes in the second-tier I Liga Kobiet and has taken no senior title. The junior team has done what the seniors have not: in 2024 it beat SPR Pogoń 1945 Zabrze 26:16 to win the Polish Junior Championship, with Martyna Szczepanik and Patrycja Barna named to the tournament's All-Star team. A beach handball youth title followed the same path in 2013.

Świebodzice itself now has two clubs carrying pieces of its handball past. MKS Silesia Świebodzice, registered in 2022, revived the name of SV Silesia, a club founded in 1911, and plays in the II Liga as a separate entity from Victoria. Across town, MKS Karkonosze Jelenia Góra remains the closest thing Victoria's women have to a rival, without either side having given the meetings a name of their own. What the Lwice have is the hall on Mieszka Starego.
