Zlatibor

The Sportska sala Čajetina holds barely a thousand people, and it took a full refit finished in 2019 to get it there. Zlatibor have made that size work for them rather than against it.

The club goes back to 16 September 1979, set up by Sead Begović and Radomir Raković. It sat in the lower divisions for most of its life, and the climb up them reads like a ladder: the third tier in 2014–15, the second tier in 2016–17, and by 2017–18 a league cup to go with promotion form. The Radivoj Korać Cup followed in 2018, Zlatibor beating Metalac Valjevo 80–71 in the final before running into Partizan NIS at the quarterfinal stage of the tournament proper and going out 54–67.

The real jump came after that. In 2021–22 Zlatibor won the ABA League Second Division, seeing off MZT Skopje Aerodrom in the final, and turned that into back-to-back Serbian top-flight titles in 2022 and 2023 — a club from Čajetina champions of the Basketball League of Serbia in successive seasons.

Number 14 hangs retired for Želimir Džambić, and current names like Dimitrije Nikolić and Lazar Joksimović carry the team that did the winning. There's no fixed old rivalry attached to the club, though matches with Sloga Kraljevo get called derbies locally.
