BATE II 1:2 Bumprom: Pershaya Liga Match Result

Match report

Belkarod secured a victory away from home against BATE II in the eighteenth round of the First League. The final scoreline read 1:2 on Thursday evening. Belkarod overturned an early deficit to move further clear of the lower half of the table.

G. Vershinin gave the hosts a shock lead after just two minutes. But the visitors weathered the storm. I. Kuimov equalised before the break to level things up.

And here's the thing, the second half belonged entirely to Belkarod. M. Tychko struck late in the game to settle the affair. By then, the visitors had already built enough momentum to see it through.

The match was a physical contest with five yellow cards shown in total. BATE II received two while Belkarod picked up three. The hosts dallied on the ball occasionally, but the visitors had the deeper squad to manage the tempo. Referees also called two offsides against the home side.

The result leaves BATE II rooted to seventeenth place with eighteen points. Belkarod sits comfortably in seventh with thirty-four points. The home side's poor run of form continued after five straight defeats.

Both sides won five corners each during the ninety minutes. Belkarod now looks to extend their advantage over the teams below them.
