Cardiff Met beat Briton Ferry 3-0 in the Premier League's Regular Season round 5 on 28 August 2026. The hosts took all three points as they moved up to fourth in the table, while Briton Ferry dropped further down to eleventh place.
And here's the thing — the opening goal came at the 18th minute when J. Veale found the net. It was the kind of moment that settles a game, and Cardiff didn't let up. By then they had already shown they meant business, pressing high and keeping possession in the final third.
The second half brought more trouble for the visitors. J. Payne added a second at 62 minutes, and the picture only darkened when L. Salter was sent off in the 81st minute. Three substitutions came at 67 minutes — J. Lloyd, C. Hurford and O. Anderson all came off — but they couldn't change the direction of play.
Veale completed his brace late on, scoring at 83 minutes after the red card had opened up space. The game was already won, but Cardiff kept going. Walters, John, Payne and Mwandwe all saw action in the final quarter as the hosts worked the game out.
The statistics tell their own story. Both sides had 50 per cent possession, but Cardiff's six shots on target compared to Briton Ferry's one tells you everything about efficiency. The visitors had 11 corners to six, but corners don't score goals.
Cardiff now sit on 12 points from six games with four wins and two defeats. Briton Ferry have seven points from two wins, one draw and three losses. The gap between them is widening, and you can see why.
