Celta Vigo and Osasuna met at Estadio Balaidos on 27 August in the opening round of La Liga's Regular Season. The visitors completed a remarkable turnaround to win 2-1 after going behind to Iago Aspas in the fourteenth minute.
Aspas broke the deadlock early, giving Celta the lead they would not hold. Osasuna's response came after the break when Mikel Alonso was sent off in the fifty-first minute. Képler Labort Barja equalised two minutes later, and then Ayoze Pérez Budimir converted a penalty in the sixty-third to put the away side ahead for good.

Osasuna created 2.68 expected goals from fewer efforts, with five shots on target compared to Celta's two. The hosts had more corners but the visitors turned their opportunities into goals.
To be fair, Celta's form had suggested they were capable of competing. They had drawn with Valencia and Napoli in their previous outings, and even beat Sassuolo 4-1. But this was a different encounter entirely, one where the red card shifted everything.
By then, the table told its own story. Osasuna sit fifth with seven points from three games, while Celta remain in sixteenth with just one point from three matches. The visitors extended their unbeaten run, and the hosts dropped further behind.
