Prishtina secured a 2:0 victory away to Ramiz Sadiku in the sixth matchday of Liga 2 on Saturday. The Albanian side moved clear in mid-table as the hosts slipped further from the top half.
By then, Prishtina had already built three consecutive wins. They had taken all three points against 2 Korriku, then delivered a 4:0 demolition of Vllaznia, before edging Istogu 1:0. Ramiz Sadiku, meanwhile, had ground out a 3:2 win over Besa Peja after a run of draws.
The result leaves Prishtina fourth on 12 points from six games. They have four wins and two losses, with no draws to their name. Ramiz Sadiku drop to ninth with seven points, sitting one win, four draws and one defeat.
Prishtina's away form has been mixed. They lost 0:2 to Trepa-89 and 1:4 to Vjosa earlier in the campaign. But this win against a side that had drawn three of their last four matches showed they can adapt.
For Ramiz Sadiku, the loss ends a streak of five matches without defeat. They had drawn with Suhareka, Tepekanga, Lepenca and Kika before that narrow victory. To be fair, they were not outplayed entirely — just outscored when it mattered.
The gap between the two sides in the table now stands at five points. Prishtina's four wins put them in a position to challenge for promotion, while Ramiz Sadiku will need to find more consistency if they want to climb out of the bottom half.
