Ipswich stun 10-man Palace with late win at Selhurst Park

Ipswich won away in the Premier League for the first time since April Women 2025, coming from behind twice to beat 10-man Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park.

Anan Khalaili put Palace ahead after 14 minutes, his first goal in English football taking a deflection off Leif Davis on its way past Kjell Scherpen. Emersonn levelled on 23 minutes, heading in unmarked from a Davis cross. It was the centre-forward's third goal for the club since joining in August.

Palace's afternoon turned on the 34th minute, when Axel Disasi was shown a straight red card for catching Jack Clarke on the shin with his studs. Ipswich made the extra man tell before half-time, Davis heading home from Dara O'Shea's cross to make it 2-1.

Jorgen Strand Larsen dragged the 10-man hosts level in the 75th minute, turning away from Issa Diop before shooting past Scherpen. That looked to have earned Palace a point, having also beaten Fulham and Middlesbrough in their previous two outings.

Ipswich had other ideas. In the 90th minute Davis headed Julio Enciso's cross against the bar, and substitute Zian Flemming forced in the rebound for his first goal for the club. The winner ended a run of 32 Premier League games, stretching back to December 2001, in which Ipswich had conceded first and failed to win.

Gary O'Neil's side move up with their second league win of the season, while Palace slip to their third defeat in four matches.
