André Martín Carrillo Díaz

André Carrillo arrived at Corinthians in September 2024, a name familiar to European football long before Brazilian supporters saw him in yellow and black. His path started far from either continent, in the youth ranks of Esther Grande in Lima before Alianza Lima brought him into their academy and, in 2009, into the first team.

Three goals in 21 appearances for Alianza Lima was enough to persuade Sporting CP to sign him in 2011. What followed was the most productive stretch of his career: five seasons in Lisbon, 110 matches and 11 goals, the kind of run that turns a promising South American winger into a proven European one. Benfica took him across the city in 2016, though he found fewer minutes there and spent much of his contract out on loan, first at Watford in the Premier League and then at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

The move to Al-Hilal became permanent in 2019, and Carrillo settled into the club for four seasons, contributing 16 goals in 108 appearances before a switch to Al-Qadsiah in 2023. His departure from Saudi Arabia the following year for Corinthians marked his first experience of Brazilian football, arriving with a résumé built across Portugal, England and the Gulf rather than through the usual routes into South America's biggest leagues.

At Corinthians he wears the number 19 shirt, an attacking midfielder whose career has been defined less by a single defining moment than by longevity across leagues with very different demands.
