About the player
Adonis Frías spent five years at Defensa y Justicia across two spells, the first coming through the club's youth academy before he broke into the first team in 2017. His time there produced two continental trophies, the Copa Sudamericana in 2020 and the Recopa Sudamericana the following year, and a loan spell at Los Andes in between gave him regular minutes away from the club that developed him.
In January 2023 he left Argentina for Mexico, joining Club León. The move paid off quickly: León won the CONCACAF Champions League that year, and Frías was named to the tournament's Best XI, recognition of a run of performances at centre-back during the competition. He went on to make 69 appearances for the club before his contract ran its course.
September 2025 brought a switch to Brazilian football, with Santos signing the defender from León. He has taken the number 98 shirt at his new club, where he continues his career as a centre-back.
