About the player
After five appearances in Uruguay's top flight in 2021, Agustín Pérez Siri played 35 matches for Plaza Colonia in 2022 — 34 in the league and one in the Copa Uruguay — and scored once. He had come through the club's academy in Colonia, not far from Carmelo, where he was born, and by his second full year he was a fixture in the side.
A further 29 matches followed in 2023, with another goal. That was the end of his time at Plaza Colonia, and the start of a run of moves in which no transfer fee changed hands. Every switch since has been made on a free.
The first of them took him abroad. In the second half of 2024 he joined Envigado in Colombia, appearing 17 times in the league without scoring or registering an assist.
He returned to Uruguay in January 2025, signing for Cerro Largo as a free agent. There he featured in the Primera División and in the group stage of the 2025 Copa Sudamericana, including the April fixture away to Defensa y Justicia of Argentina. In 2026 he moved again on a free, this time to Venezuela with Deportivo Táchira.
