Aldana Cometti

Aldana Cometti made her way into professional football young, joining the Excursionistas academy at nine years old before moves to Arsenal de Sarandí and Independiente. Her senior career began at River Plate, but it was at Boca Juniors that she first collected silverware, winning the Argentine Supercopa in 2015 and making her debut in the women's Copa Libertadores.

In August 2016 she left Argentina for Spain, signing with Granada CF, then spent a season in Colombia with Atlético Huila, where she won the Copa Libertadores in 2018. She returned to Spain that December with Sevilla FC, followed by spells at Levante UD Femenino and Madrid CFF, where she made 71 appearances and scored 9 goals over three seasons. A move to France with FC Fleury 91 followed before she signed for Bay FC in the NWSL in March 2026.

It is with the Argentina national team that Cometti has left her clearest mark. On 28 October 2025, in a 2-2 draw with Uruguay, she became the first Argentine women's footballer to reach 100 caps, a record that stands alone in the squad. She has captained the side since 2024. With Argentina she won gold at the 2014 South American Games and helped the team qualify for the 2019 World Cup through an intercontinental play-off, also reaching third place at the Copa América Femenina in 2018 and 2022.
