About the player
Karlie Lema went from the Bay Area club circuit to a first-team shirt with the club that plays in her home region. Born in Morgan Hill, she came up through MVLA Soccer Club before playing college soccer at California, then spent time with San Francisco Glens in the USL W League on her way into the professional game.
Lema has represented the United States at youth level, turning out for the U-15, U-17 and U-23 sides. Her sharpest showing in that spell came at a U-17 tournament in the Czech Republic, where she scored five goals.
At Bay FC she wears the number 5 shirt and has established herself as part of the forward line. In the 2025 season she made 24 appearances and scored twice, and by August 2026 she had reached 44 appearances and seven goals for the club.
