About the player
Sydney Collins's career at North Carolina Courage began with promise and stalled through injury. Selected eighth overall in the 2023 NWSL Draft, she made four appearances in her rookie season before a series of leg fractures, sustained on international duty with Canada, interrupted her progress. She did collect a winner's medal that year, though, as part of the Courage squad that lifted the NWSL Challenge Cup.
Collins moved on in August 2025, when her rights were traded to Bay FC in an intra-league deal worth 60,000 US dollars. The club moved quickly to tie her down, agreeing a contract extension through the 2027 season with an option for 2028. She has since become a regular fixture in the Bay FC side, making 29 appearances across the 2025 and 2026 seasons and registering one assist.
On the international stage, the defender has been part of the Canada squad that secured qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and she was called up for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup.
