Hanna Bebbar

Hannah Bebar arrived at Bay FC as a free agent rather than through the draft, signing her first professional contract in February 2025 on a three-year deal after finishing her college career at Duke. The move came only after a route through the amateur and reserve ranks that included spells with Chicago Red Stars Reserves and North Carolina Courage's U23 side, the kind of path that rarely produces a national team call-up within months.

Yet that is what followed. In January 2025, before she had even made her NWSL debut, Bebar was called into the United States senior squad as a replacement for Lynn Williams. The call-up put her on the same roster as established internationals despite her lack of professional minutes at the time. Her NWSL debut for Bay FC came on 22 March 2025.

Bebar plays as a midfielder, born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. At 1.63m she is not a physically imposing presence in midfield, which makes the timing of her rise — from reserve-team football to a senior national team call-up inside a single year — the notable part of her story so far.
