Bruno Godeau

Godeau spent twelve years inside the RSC Anderlecht system — first as a boy at RSD Jette, then in Brussels from 2000, with two years at MTK Budapest in between — and left it without a single league appearance for the senior side. The Belgian Super Cup he won there in 2012 came without him on the pitch.

The route out ran through loans. Zulte-Waregem took him for 2012–13 and made the move permanent the following summer, but he never held the shirt down: 14 appearances in 2013–14, a season on loan at Westerlo, then eight games back at Zulte-Waregem in 2015–16. A year at KV Oostende brought 21 appearances and his first senior goal.

The three seasons at Royal Excel Mouscron from 2017 brought 67 league games and three goals, enough for KAA Gent to pay around €300,000 for the left-footed centre-back in January 2020. Gent won the Belgian Cup in 2021–22 with Godeau in the squad, though he played in neither the semi-finals nor the final.

He left on a free in July 2023 for Sint-Truiden, where he again became a fixture: 67 league appearances across two seasons. Another free transfer took him to Waasland-Beveren on 28 July 2025.

His international record is thin and early: one cap for Belgium's under-18s in 2010, seven for the under-21s between 2012 and 2014, and nothing since.
