Bruno Zapelli

Bruno Zapelli was spotted at the age of 11 during a trial in Rosario, a route into the game that eventually took him as far as Villarreal's academy in Spain, where he trained between 2013 and 2016 before returning to Argentina. He came through at Belgrano, where he made 94 league appearances and scored four goals, and in 2022 Italian side Modena tabled a two million dollar bid for him that Belgrano turned down. That spell in Córdoba also brought him a winner's medal in Argentina's second-tier Primera B Nacional in 2022.

Athletico Paranaense signed the midfielder in 2023, and he has since become a fixture in Curitiba, passing 130 appearances and scoring eight goals for the club while wearing the number 10 shirt. He was part of the squad that won the Campeonato Paranaense in 2024. Across his career he has featured in six different competitions, from Brazil's Serie A and the Copa do Brasil to the Copa Sudamericana and Argentina's top and second divisions.

Zapelli holds dual Argentine and Italian nationality, and both countries have called on him at youth level: he played for Argentina's under-23 side in 2023 and, the same year, turned out once for Italy's under-21s. Born in Carlos Paz, in the Argentine province of Córdoba, he plays as an attacking midfielder and is right-footed.
