About the player
Carlos Meotti made his mark at youth level with numbers that stood out: in the 2023/24 season he finished as top scorer of the northern zone of Brazil's national youth championship, with 21 goals in 32 matches for Gil Vicente's academy. That run of form drew attention from clubs in England and France, but it was Benfica who signed him in August 2023, bringing the winger into their under-23 setup on a three-year deal.
In 2025 the club sent him out on loan to Famalicão's reserve side in the Liga Revelação, where his time was brief: a single appearance, in which he scored.
He left Portugal for Botev Plovdiv as a free agent, taking the number 66 shirt.
