Caio Ferreira

Caio Ferreira's path to European football did not run through a big academy or a headline transfer — it ran through the lower divisions of Rio de Janeiro state football. Formed at Cabofriense, the left-footed forward worked his way through Sampaio Corrêa-RJ and Duque de Caxias, where in 2024 he won the A-2 divisional title.

That move abroad came in 2024, when Ferreira joined Moldova's FC Bălți . It was enough to persuade Romanian side FC Argeș to sign him as a free agent in the summer of 2025.

In Romania's Superliga, Ferreira added three goals and three assists in 18 appearances and was named the division's player of the month for September 2025. In January 2026, Riga FC paid around €700,000 to bring him to Latvia, with Argeș retaining a sell-on percentage and Ferreira receiving a signing bonus as part of a three-year deal.

He has settled quickly at Riga. In the Virsliga he has scored five goals in 21 appearances, added two more in the Latvian Cup, and contributed two goals and an assist in four European ties this season. Along the way he has picked up a Latvian Super Cup and a Cup of Livonia with the club.

There is no record of Ferreira representing Brazil at any level, senior or youth.
