About the player
Carl Davordzie's path to Romanian football began far from a top academy: he came through Perseverance Professionals FC in Accra before a spell in Italy took him through Parma's system and, briefly, Virtus Camposanto in the lower divisions. The move that changed his trajectory came in 2022, when CFR Cluj signed him — though first football in Romania meant CFR Cluj II in Liga III, followed by a loan at Gloria Bistrița, where a single goal in a promotion play-off game hinted at what was to come.
The real breakthrough arrived at Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț. Davordzie joined the club in January 2024 and scored 11 goals in 26 appearances across the 2024/25 season, then 10 more in just 17 games in the first half of 2025/26.
Sepsi OSK moved for him in January 2026. He did not need long to make an impact: 14 appearances and three goals in the second half of the season helped the club through the promotion play-off and into Liga I. He now continues his career in Romania's top flight with Sepsi.
