Cassandra Bogere

Cassandra Ella Archontoulis Bogere was born in Gothenburg, but the football that shaped her was played in Norway. She moved through a string of Oslo academies — Azalea BK as a child, then Grüner, a brief spell at Nordstrand and, from 2019, Skeid — before turning professional with Røa IL in January 2022.

Røa gave her three seasons and a body of work: 54 appearances across all competitions, one goal and nine assists.

Bogere joined SK Brann Kvinner on loan in July 2024 and signed a permanent three-year contract in November of that year. In 2025 she was part of the side that won the Toppserien, contributing two goals and one assist in 22 league matches.

Her international record belongs to Norway's youth teams: three caps for the under-18s in 2022, then nine for the under-19s across 2023 and 2024, including UEFA qualifying campaigns. She has not played for the senior Norway side. Bogere holds Swedish citizenship by birth and Norwegian by naturalisation, and after the switch she was called up by Sweden's under-23s in 2026.

The move to Portland came next. On 29 January 2026 she signed with the Thorns through the end of the 2028 season, with an option for 2029. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
