Cristopher Benjamín Toselli Ríos

Cristopher Toselli came through Universidad Católica's academy, joining aged 13, and was promoted to the first team by coach Jorge Pellicer in 2006. He went on to make 233 league appearances for the club across a career spanning 2007 to 2022. Universidad Católica won five Primera División titles with him in the squad, along with a Copa Chile and two Supercopas.

Toselli spent stretches away from Católica on loan. Spells at Mexico's Atlas and at Everton in Chile were followed by a loan to Palestino in 2021, where he made 40 appearances across all competitions, and a further loan to Argentina's Central Córdoba in 2022. He left Universidad Católica for good, signing for Universidad de Chile as a free agent in January 2023. He has since extended his contract at the club.

His international career ran from 2010 to 2018, yielding nine caps for Chile. What he does have is a Copa América Centenario winner's medal from 2016, a runners-up finish with Chile at the 2017 Confederations Cup, and a China Cup title the same year. At youth level he took bronze at the 2007 U-20 World Cup and won the Toulon Tournament with Chile's U-21s in 2009, where he was also named the tournament's best goalkeeper.

2013 marked the high point of his individual recognition: he was voted Chile's Footballer of the Year by the Círculo de Periodistas Deportivos de Chile and named the country's best goalkeeper by El Gráfico. Antofagasta, his home city, later made him an honorary citizen.
