D. Bailey

Dorian Bailey came to Bay FC in December 2023 as one of the players brought in during the club's expansion build-up, arriving from Washington Spirit after a spell in Washington that ended with an NWSL championship in 2021. She had joined the Spirit as a draft pick out of the University of North Carolina, part of a college programme that regularly feeds the league's rosters.

At Bay FC, Bailey established herself as a fixture in the midfield rather than a squad rotation piece. In the 2024 season she featured in all 26 regular-season matches, scoring once and adding two assists, a workload that made her one of the more durable presences in the team's engine room. The following season she made 23 appearances, twelve of them starts, and although she did not find the net she again supplied two assists.

Her performances were enough for Bay FC to commit to her beyond the short term: in 2025 the club extended her contract through the end of the 2027 season, tying her to the project for the medium haul rather than treating her as a stopgap signing.

Dorian Bailey's path has been steady rather than headline-grabbing — a college standout who turned into a title winner in Washington, then a reliable minutes-eater for an expansion side finding its footing in the league.
