About the player
David Alejandro Noboa Tello won three Ecuadorian league titles before he had much of a role in the side that lifted them. Coming through Emelec's academy in his native Guayaquil, he made his first-team debut in 2014 and picked up championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015, mostly watching from the bench as the club he supported and represented.
Loan spells followed. A move to El Nacional in 2016 and 2017 brought him 17 appearances and a goal, and a short stay at Macara added two more games in 2018. Regular football arrived only at Delfin, where he spent two seasons from 2018, made 68 appearances and scored twice.
A switch to Guayaquil City followed for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, where he played 36 matches, before he joined Deportivo Cuenca. He has since made more than 45 league appearances for the club and scored once.
Noboa is the younger brother of Cristian Noboa, the Ecuadorian midfielder. David has not been capped by Ecuador's senior national team.
