About the player
Erique signed for LDU Quito in 2021. He returned to the club after his loan spell.
Back in the capital, Erique kept knocking on the door, and by 2025 he was a regular part of LDU's squad, making 24 appearances across the league, the Copa Ecuador and the Copa Libertadores. He was part of the LDU Quito squad that won the Ecuadorian league title in 2023, the Copa Sudamericana in 2023 and the Ecuadorian Super Cup in 2025.
Erique has also represented Ecuador at youth level. He won a silver medal with the under-20 side at the 2022 South American Games in Asunción, playing five matches, then featured at the 2023 South American Under-20 Championship, where Ecuador finished fourth over nine matches, and played once at the 2023 Under-20 World Cup as the team reached the round of 16. He has not yet been capped by Ecuador's senior side.
Since January 2026, Erique has been on loan at Deportivo Cuenca, where he has made 21 appearances this season across the league, the Copa Sudamericana and the Copa Ecuador.
