About the player
Tian De'ao plays as a defender for Liaoning Tieren, the club formerly known as Shenyang Urban, wearing the number 36 shirt. Sources disagree on his exact role: Transfermarkt and other statistical platforms list him as a centre-back, while the club's own website has described him as a midfielder.
Tian joined the club in February 2024 alongside teammate Liu Weiguo, arriving from a background in Liaoning FC's youth ranks. No transfer fee was reported for the move. He later signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until the end of 2026.
His timing has worked in his favour. The club won the China League Two North Division in 2019 before his arrival, and after he joined, the team went on to win the China League One in 2025, earning promotion to the Chinese Super League. Tian has been part of a squad built around that climb through the divisions, alongside players with senior national-team experience such as Yan Dinghao and Yuan Mincheng.
