About the player
Bayern Munich signed Dennis Waidner from SSV Ulm in 2014, and he stayed six years in the academy, moving up through the U19 side and into the reserves. He also featured for the club's youth teams in the UEFA Youth League. His senior football began with Bayern Munich II in the 2020–21 season: 30 appearances, no goals.
The move to Würzburger Kickers in June 2021 cost €75,000. He played 30 league matches there and scored once.
The three years at SpVgg Unterhaching, which he joined on a free transfer in September 2022, gave him the bulk of his career so far: 89 league appearances. In his first season the club won the Regionalliga Bayern and went up to the 3. Liga.
He left for SC Verl on a free transfer in June 2025. By May 2026 he had 36 league appearances for the club and one goal. Verl reached the Westfalenpokal final on 23 May 2026, against Sportfreunde Lotte.
There are no senior caps for Germany on his record, and none at youth level either — no U17, no U19, no U21. What he has instead is a steady climb through the German lower divisions, from a reserve team to the third tier. The right foot does most of the work.
