Football in Argentina rarely lets a right-back build a career at a single club, but Ezequiel Cannavo spent six years doing exactly that at Defensa y Justicia before Racing Club took him on loan in February 2026. The move came with the number 4 shirt and a deal running through December, a vote of confidence for a player who had quietly become a fixture on the right side of defence.

At Defensa y Justicia, Cannavo built his game in continental competition as much as domestic league football, appearing in both the Copa Sudamericana and the Liga Profesional.
