About the player
Emily Mason grew up playing for PDA in New Jersey's academy scene, and by the time she left the programme she had already won a national ECNL championship with the club in 2019. That same year, still in high school, she was named Gatorade's National Girls Soccer Player of the Year and New Jersey's top player.
At Rutgers, Mason built on that foundation. She also appeared on the watch list for the MAC Hermann Trophy that same year.
Her performances at Rutgers carried over to the international stage. Mason was capped 18 times for the United States at under-20 level between 2019 and 2022, scoring three goals in that span. The recognition continued after she turned professional: in January 2025 she was called into the US Soccer Federation's Futures Camp, and by May she had earned a call-up to the under-23 squad for a trip to Germany. A senior national team appearance has not yet followed.
Mason signed with OL Reign . At the club she wears the number 14 shirt, having worn 15 during her time in college.
