Ertuğrul Ersoy

In 2019, while still on Bursaspor's books, Ertuğrul Ersoy went public with a complaint about unpaid wages, describing financial hardship and saying he had covered a teammate's transfer instalment out of his own pocket. He also revealed that he had concealed injuries and surgery during his time at the club to avoid adding to its burdens.

In May 2025, after his contract at Gaziantep FK expired, Ersoy signed a four-year deal with Bursaspor and waived outstanding salary claims against his former employer.

He joined the Bursaspor academy in 2010 after two years at Gölcükspor. He signed his first professional contract in 2013 and made his Süper Lig debut in 2014, with loan spells at Yeşil Bursa SK and Çaykur Rizespor filling the gaps between.

His move abroad came in August 2019, when Le Havre AC paid a reported 750,000 euros for him on a four-year contract. He was loaned to Gaziantep FK in January 2021, with a purchase option attached. Ersoy made 29 appearances on loan; Gaziantep triggered the option in February 2022 for an undisclosed fee. A short loan at İstanbulspor in 2023 brought five appearances.

The senior call came in 2018, when he won two caps in friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine.
