Deep into stoppage time at Hull City, with the clock past 94 minutes, Lincoln stood over a free kick against Sheffield Wednesday and scored the winner. It was his only goal of a loan spell that brought 11 appearances and nothing else on the scoresheet — a loan reduced, in the retelling, to a single dead ball.

The Brazilian's early promise was recognised before he had settled at senior level: he captained Brazil to the South American Under-17 Championship in 2015, scoring twice in the tournament. That same year he began his senior career at Grêmio, where the trophies arrived without much playing time attached. He was an unused substitute in the 2016 Copa do Brasil final, and though he was registered in Grêmio's squad for the 2017 Copa Libertadores, he did not appear — he was on loan at Çaykur Rizespor in Turkey.

That loan turned out to be the making of him. Across the 2017–18 season he scored three goals in 18 matches as Rizespor won the TFF 1. Lig, and in 2018 he took a hat-trick against Gaziantepspor. A short loan to América Mineiro followed before he left Brazil for Portugal.

Three years at Santa Clara gave him 92 league appearances and seven goals, enough for Fenerbahçe to pay a reported €3.5 million in July 2022. Fenerbahçe mostly sent him elsewhere: Red Bull Bragantino in 2024, then Hull. He returned to Portugal with Alverca in August 2025 and made 30 Liga Portugal appearances, scoring twice and setting up five, before Bursaspor bought 70% of his economic rights for €2 million in June 2026.
