Ezequiel Burdin

Playing at 192 cm and left-footed, Ezequiel Burdín spent the 2025 season near the top of Uruguay's passing charts for his position: second among the country's centre-backs for accurate passes per 90 minutes, and in the 98th percentile for on-ball value in defence.

He joined Albion FC in 2020, making his professional debut in 2023. The bulk of his football came in the Segunda División in 2025, where he played 36 matches and scored five goals. Promotion to the top flight followed, and in 2026 he added 21 appearances in the Liga AUF Uruguaya. Across all competitions for Albion, including four Copa Uruguay matches, he finished on 62 games and six goals.

On 7 August 2026 Burdín moved to Argentina, signing for Defensa y Justicia on a contract that runs to 30 June 2030. Albion confirmed the transfer on its own channels. He has since made one league appearance for the club.

The top-flight season in Uruguay was the quieter half of his record: 21 matches, no goals, after a second-division campaign in which he was on the scoresheet five times. He arrives in Florencio Varela without a senior international cap and without individual honours to his name.
