About the player
Federico Anselmo joined Estudiantes' academy in 2010 after coming through Talleres in his native Las Acequias. He made his professional debut with the La Plata club in 2014, and the following years turned into a search for regular football away from Argentina's biggest stages: a loan to Atletico Rafaela produced five goals in fourteen appearances, and a brief spell at Argentinos Juniors followed before he settled at Union de Santa Fe.
Quilmes gave him his most productive domestic run, nine goals in his first spell there before he moved abroad. In Colombia, Independiente Santa Fe brought the clearest team success of his career: Anselmo was part of the squad that won the Torneo Finalizacion in 2020. From there his path went further afield still, taking in Palestino in Chile, a return to Quilmes, Maldonado in Uruguay and Universitatea Cluj in Romania, each stop adding a handful of appearances and goals rather than a settled home.
He returned to Argentina with San Martin de San Juan for the 2024–25 season before joining Banfield, where he has made four league appearances so far.
