Francisco Marchand

Francisco Marchant grew up in the Macul district of Santiago and was spotted by scouts from Colo-Colo, who invited him to a trial that led to a place in the club's academy. He has come through that system to reach the first team, making his professional debut in a friendly against Racing under coach Jorge Almirón, before playing his first official match in the Copa Chile against Unión San Felipe. His first senior goal came against Audax Italiano.

A left-footed winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder, Marchant wears the number 7 shirt at Colo-Colo, a club he has never left. He has already collected three domestic trophies with the club: the Chilean Super Cup and league title in 2024, and the Copa Chile in 2023. In November 2025, the CIES Football Observatory placed him among the top eight players for key passes per shot on target across ten Latin American leagues, and the following month he was ranked 53rd among players born in 2006 or later at clubs outside Europe's top five leagues.

Marchant has not yet been called up to the senior Chile squad, but he has represented the country at youth level, playing at the South American Under-17 Championship in 2023 and later featuring for the Under-20 side at the FIFA U-20 World Cup staged on home soil in 2025.

Colo-Colo remains the only club on his résumé, a product of the academy rather than any transfer, and his contract with the club runs to the end of 2027.
