Fredrik André Bjørkan

Fredrik André Bjørkan came through Bodø/Glimt's own academy, joining the club's youth ranks before making his senior debut in 2016. He stayed to become part of the side that won back-to-back Eliteserien titles, lifting the trophy in 2020 and again in 2021.

In January 2022 he left on a free transfer for Hertha BSC. That spell did not settle into a regular role: in August 2022 he went out on loan to Feyenoord, made a single appearance there, and saw the loan cut short in January 2023. He returned to Bodø/Glimt permanently that same month, back at the club where he had started out.

His performances for Bodø/Glimt earned him a place in the Norway squad, and he has gone on to win 22 caps for the national team. His only international goal so far came in a friendly against Jordan in September 2023. He was also part of the Norway squad that faced France at the 2026 World Cup.

Across his club career he has made 309 appearances and scored 20 goals, a body of work built almost entirely in Bodø/Glimt colours either side of the brief spell in Germany and the Netherlands. He has had to work back from injury more than once, including a knee problem in 2021 and a hamstring issue in 2025.
