Panama City produced Heuyín Guardia, and it was Alianza F.C. that gave him his start, in which the forward built a steady, unspectacular scoring record — 17 goals in 102 appearances.

A loan to Puerto Rico's Academia Quintana in 2025 briefly took him away from Panama. It lasted only a handful of months, but Guardia made it count: two appearances, two goals, including minutes in the CFU Club Shield.

The move that has reshaped his career came this year. Guardia left Alianza as a free agent in July 2026 and signed for Técnico Universitario in Ecuador, stepping into Serie A football for the first time. He took the number 9 shirt at the club, the same role he had occupied throughout his time in Panama, and has since featured in Ecuadorian top-flight fixtures, including the meeting with Universidad Católica in early August.

At 24, Guardia remains a work in progress by the numbers alone — his goal return in Panama never spiked into anything spectacular, and no individual honours or trophies mark his page. What stands out instead is the trajectory: a homegrown Panama City forward who went through Alianza's first team for the best part of five years, added a short, productive loan spell in the Caribbean, and has now taken his chance to test himself in South American football with Técnico Universitario.
