He has now signed for Novorizontino twice.
Borges came through the academy at Remo in his home city of Belém, moving through every age group there. Between 2017 and 2018 he spent a spell in the youth system at Palmeiras before returning to Remo, and he made his senior debut on 31 March 2019 in the Campeonato Paraense. That season Remo won the state championship and finished second in Série C.
What followed was a run of short stays. He turned out for Azuriz in 2021, then went on loan to Ceará, where his time in the top flight amounted to two Série A appearances. In 2024 he left Brazil altogether for South Korea and Gyeongnam in K League 2, and played four times.
The return to Brazil in 2025 produced his most substantial season. At Náutico he appeared in 37 matches across Série C, the Copa do Brasil, the Copa do Nordeste and the Campeonato Pernambucano, scoring six goals and providing four assists as the club won promotion to Série B.
