About the player
Botafogo's 2021 promotion campaign gave Luis Felipe Oyama his platform. Brought in on loan from Mirassol, he played 31 matches and scored twice as the club won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.
In March 2022 Botafogo bought 60 per cent of his economic rights from Mirassol for around R$3m, on a contract running to the end of 2025. He spent 2022/23 in Belgium with RWD Molenbeek, playing 24 matches and scoring four times as the club won the Challenger Pro League. Back in Brazil, he made 11 appearances for Goiás in 2023 — nine in Série A, two in the Copa do Brasil — with one goal, and added two matches in the Copa Sudamericana. A 2024 loan at Juventude brought 17 Série B games and two goals.
He has started the 2026 campaign in the same role, with 20 appearances and three goals so far.
