César

Twenty-two league matches, eight goals conceded, eight clean sheets: that was César's 2025 in Série B with Avaí. Late that year the goalkeeper filed a claim against the club over unpaid wages and other sums totalling more than two million reais, then left as a free agent. Novorizontino presented him on 19 December 2025, with the move formally taking effect on 1 January 2026 and a contract running to the end of 2027.

The route there ran mostly through the second tier. Londrina gave him his longest association — Série B and the Paraná state championship across 2017–2019 and again in 2021 — broken by a spell at Estoril in Portugal's LigaPro in 2019. A year at Vitória followed in 2020, then Juventude in 2022, his season in Série A. Juventude won the Copa do Brasil that year, though César was not the first-choice goalkeeper in the final. Mirassol took him on a free transfer in 2023, and Avaí did the same a year later.

His first full season at Avaí was the busiest of his career: 37 matches in Série B in 2024, 30 goals conceded, 15 clean sheets. He made 73 appearances for the club in all, and in 2025 won the Santa Catarina state championship with them.

At Novorizontino he wears 31. Nine matches into the 2026 Série B season he had conceded nine goals and kept four clean sheets, a rate of one a game.
