About the player
Hubert Janyszka started out further forward on the pitch. It was only in Lech Poznań's academy that he was moved back into central defence. He came through Lipno Stęszew before joining Warta Poznań's youth setup, and in 2019 moved into Lech Poznań's own academy system.
The step up to senior football came in the 2024/25 season, when Janyszka featured for Lech Poznań II in the Polish third tier. He signed his first professional contract with the first team on 21 March 2024, and the deal was extended to run until the end of December 2028 on 11 February 2026.
His Ekstraklasa debut arrived on 26 April 2026, away to Legia Warszawa, a match Lech won 4:0. He has since added the 2025/26 Ekstraklasa title to his record with the club.
Janyszka has represented Poland at youth level, appearing for the under-17 side and the under-16 side without scoring for either. He is a product of Lech's own academy, meaning his moves through the youth system carried no transfer fees.
