Joel Pereira

Joel Pereira came through Porto's academy from the age of eleven, spending six years in the club's youth ranks before an early loan spell at Padroense. The move that shaped his early career, though, came at Vitória Guimarães, where he progressed from the youth side to the reserve team and logged twenty appearances without finding the net.

A season at Académico Viseu preceded his move abroad, and it was in Cyprus that Pereira settled into regular first-team football, first with Doxa Katokopias and then with Omonia Nicosia. The switch to Lech Poznań in the summer of 2021 has proven the defining chapter of his career.

Individually, his standout moment came in the 2024/25 season, when a goal he scored was voted the best of the campaign in the Ekstraklasa. He has never been called into Portugal's senior squad, though he came through the country's youth national teams at various age levels on his way up.

Pereira has not featured for major clubs beyond the ones listed in his career path, and no significant injuries have interrupted his time in Poland.
