Ignacio Daniel Bailone

Ignacio Bailone was born in Rosario and came through the youth ranks at Lanús before earning his move to Estudiantes de La Plata in 2016. What followed his time in La Plata was less a settled career than a run of loan spells, sending him to Quilmes, then Instituto, then Gimnasia de Jujuy over three seasons as he searched for regular football rather than found it at his parent club.

By 2019 he had joined Chacarita Juniors, and a year later his path took an unusual turn for an Argentine forward of his generation: a move to the United States to play for San Antonio FC. He left that club for Croatia, spending time at HNK Šibenik, before returning to San Antonio in 2022 for a second stint.

Bailone's career then shifted to South America's smaller footballing circuits. In January 2024 he signed for Paraguay's Nacional Asunción, where he wears the number 7 shirt. A year later he moved again, joining Deportivo Cuenca in Ecuador, but that spell lasted only months: by July 2025 he was back at Nacional Asunción, this time on a free transfer.

Across a decade in the game, Bailone's story has been one of movement rather than a single defining stop — Argentina, the United States, Croatia, Ecuador and now Paraguay again — a forward who has kept working across leagues and continents rather than settling in one place for long.
