Ignacio Vazquez

Ignacio Vázquez went through Cobresal's academy before joining the youth ranks at Universidad de Chile. He made his first-team debut in the Copa Chile against San Antonio Unido on 28 June that year, a goalless draw, and followed it with his league debut against his old club, Cobresal, on 21 July, a match that finished 3-3. His first senior goal arrived on 24 August 2024, in a 4-0 win over Cobreloa. That debut season ended with the Copa Chile in the trophy cabinet.

Born in San Bernardo, in the Santiago region, Vázquez wears number 23 for Universidad de Chile and operates as a forward, though he has also featured as a winger. He was capped eight times for Chile's under-17 side in 2023, appearing at the South American under-17 championship without scoring, then stepped up to the under-20 category, where he has earned ten caps and a goal since 2024. That goal came at the 2025 South American under-20 championship in Venezuela, in a match against Peru. He has not yet been called up to the senior national team.
