Jimer Esteban Fory Mejía

Jimer Fory came through the youth ranks at Atlético Nacional. He made his professional debut in October 2020 in the Copa Sudamericana against River Plate, and went on to win the Colombian league title in the 2022 Apertura and the Colombian Cup in 2020/21 with the club.

Two loan spells shaped the rest of his time in Colombia. At Deportivo Pereira, between July 2022 and December 2023, he made 61 appearances, scored three goals and added four assists, including two in the 2023 Copa Libertadores. A further loan followed at Independiente Medellín in 2024, where he played 43 matches.

Portland Timbers signed him in February 2025 for a fee in the region of €1.5 million, with the deal running to the end of the 2028 season and an option for a further year. He made his MLS debut at the start of the 2025 regular season, wearing the number 27 shirt.

At international level, Fory has represented Colombia at under-20 and under-23 level, playing three matches for the latter. He featured for the under-23s at the 2024 CONMEBOL pre-Olympic tournament, where he was sent off in the 23rd minute against Ecuador. He was called up to the senior national team in December 2023 for a friendly against Mexico but did not leave the bench, and has not yet made his debut for the first team.
