About the player

Rosario has produced its share of forwards, and Juan Manuel García's route to Greece ran through nearly every level of Argentine football before it. He came up through Banfield before settling into a long spell in the country's lower and second divisions, moving between Brown de Adrogué, San Martín de San Juan and Ferro Carril Oeste, then Arsenal de Sarandí and Unión de Santa Fe. It was a career built on loans and short contracts rather than a single breakthrough, the kind of path that tests a forward's patience more than his finishing.

Newell's Old Bóys gave him two separate spells, in 2022 and again from 2024 to 2025, with a year at Huracán splitting them. In between, García took his first step outside Argentina, joining NFC Volos in Greece for the 2023–24 season — a move that would draw him back to the country once his second stint at Newell's ended.

That return came in February 2026, when Panetolikos signed him on a short-term deal to the end of the season, with an option to extend by a further year. He wears the number 31 shirt. Reports have also linked the same contract to a subsequent move to Paraguay's Guaraní once his time in Greece runs its course.

García's game has been shaped less by a single moment of fame than by movement — club to club, division to division, country to country — the profile of a forward who has had to keep proving himself in new shirts rather than lean on one.
