José Daniel García Aragón

Football took José Daniel García Aragón through three Colombian clubs before he settled into a regular defensive role. His run began at Cortuluá, where he stepped into Primera A fixtures against Rionegro Águilas and Deportes Tolima. A parallel spell followed at Internacional Palmira, a club that shuffled between the top flight and the second division during his two years there, giving García Aragón exposure to both levels of the domestic game.

A loan to Patriotas Boyacá in 2024 tested him away from his parent club before he returned and, at the start of 2026, earned a permanent place in Atlético Bucaramanga's squad, where he now wears the number 4 shirt as a centre-back.

International recognition has so far stopped at youth level: four appearances for Colombia's under-19 side in 2021 and two more for the under-20s the following year, without a senior call-up to date.

At club level, García Aragón joined Bucaramanga at a significant point in its history. The team, founded in 1949, had already won the second-division title twice, in 1995 and 2015, before claiming its first Colombian championship in the 2024 Apertura tournament — a title won shortly before his own move into the first-team squad became permanent.
