About the player
Manta gave Ecuadorian football Jonathan Alexis Majao Aguayo, joining the club at the start of 2021 and working his way into first-team appearances, initially off the bench.
The move that changed things came in June 2025, when Majao left Manta FC for CD Olmedo, and he held his place there through the rest of that year and into the start of 2026.
On 4 February 2026, Majao signed for Técnico Universitario, and by the opening weeks of the new season he was already involved in Ecuadorian league matches for his new club.
No call-ups to the Ecuador national team, individual honours or team trophies have been recorded across his spells at Manta FC, Olmedo or Técnico Universitario.
