About the player
Jader Andrés Quiñónes Caicedo made his senior international debut on 16 December 2023, coming on in a friendly against Mexico — a single cap that remains, so far, his only appearance for Colombia.
He came through the academy at Deportes Quindío after an early loan spell at Boca Juniors de Cali, and it was at Quindío that he built the foundation of his career, making 52 appearances for the club between 2018 and 2022. A move to Águilas Doradas as a free agent followed, where he played 17 matches before joining América de Cali in 2023.
América de Cali is where Quiñónes had his most productive run in front of goal, playing 55 matches and scoring three times. From there he signed for Deportes Tolima in 2025, making five appearances before Once Caldas brought him in for the 2026 season. He has already made his mark at the new club, featuring in 24 matches.
Across a career built more on consistency of selection than on individual accolades, Quiñónes has established himself as a squad player capable of settling in quickly at each new club, from Quindío's academy pipeline through to spells at Águilas Doradas, América de Cali and Tolima. No major trophies or individual awards from his time at these clubs have been recorded.
