Jamerson Santos de Jesus

Jamerson Santos de Jesus began his senior career at Marília before making the move to Europe in 2018, joining Portimonense in Portugal. He did not break into the first team there, and the following years were spent working his way through Portuguese and Brazilian football alike, with spells at União Almeirim and Sertanense before returning home.

It was at Guarani, in the 2022 Série B season, that his game found its clearest expression: playing as a left-back, he finished the campaign as the competition's leading provider of assists, seven in total, a mark that stood out for a defender and helped bring him to wider attention. He added a goal in Série A the following year in the same shirt.

That form earned him a move to Coritiba in 2023, where he settled into a regular role, making over sixty appearances across two seasons in a contract that ran to 2025. In February of that year he was sent out on loan to Vitória, in his native Salvador, returning to the city where he was born to continue his career on Brazil's Atlantic coast. He has also featured in the Copa Sudamericana with Vitória and in the Copa do Brasil during his time at Coritiba.

A left-footed full-back by trade, Jamerson has occasionally been used across the backline, filling in on the right or through the middle when needed. Across his career to date he has amassed well over two hundred appearances, with his end product, goals and, in particular, assists, remaining the clearest thread running through his time in the game.
